As a part of the mission outreach of Faith in Christ, we joyfully support the mission work of Tim and Lisa
Beckendorf in Botswana, Africa. Tim and Lisa are part of Lutheran Bible Translators (LBT), an organization that is
committed to translating the Bible into languages which do not yet have the written Word of God.
The Beckendorfs have been working in Botswana since 2005 with the goal of providing God’s Word to the Khwe
people. Translation work is a long and difficult process which involves much linguistic work and literacy training
before the actual translation work can begin. It is a labor of love working side by side with the native people so
that the Scriptures can be faithfully translated into words that the people understand. We pray that the Lord will
bless their work.
